FSX was re-checking this box every time it went into fullscreen mode, so when I ended the flight, the main menu was super-tiny. For example, I'm using a 4k TV as my monitor, so the display resolution is set to 3840x2160 but because I sit so far away from the screen, text is normally unreadable, so I told Windows 10 to scale everything to 200% its normal size the result is that it's rendering the screen at 4k, but text and icons take up the same percentage of screen space that they would at 1080p.ĭPI scaling can cause issues with some programs, so there's an option in the Properties > Compatibility tab called "Disable display scaling at high DPI settings" if checked, the program ignores Windows' DPI scaling setting. This is a thing with Windows display DPI scaling, used to make icons, text and whatnot bigger while still being crisp.
